In a viral video, Odunsi pleaded for financial assistance, saying that his son had abandoned him. However, Asake has now responded in a cryptic manner, using music to express his feelings.

Singing in Yoruba, Asake said:

“You can’t please everyone, you can’t please the world. But anything you are doing, just do it for God.

“My own father wants to cajole me, and I have sent so much money. I have struggled for so many years, but they want to make life tire me.”

Despite his response, many Nigerians on social media have continued to urge Asake to take care of his alleged father.

One commenter, Fatai Saheed, wrote: “Go and take care of your father, no matter what he has done.”

Another added: “I will not let my father go hungry, sick, or homeless just because he didn’t take care of me. Go and take care of your father, Asake.”

The situation has sparked widespread debate, with fans and critics weighing in on the singer’s responsibilities toward his alleged father.
