Burna Boy criticized individuals who, according to him, have been dishonest about owning properties and luxury items.
In his Instagram story, Burna Boy addressed claims surrounding a Banana Island mansion, which he alleged was rented rather than purchased.
“If you ever lied about buying Sujimoto’s house in Banana when you only rented it, do better in 2025,” he wrote.
He also took aim at those making similar claims about a property in Elele, warning, “If you ever lied about Elele’s house being yours, do better in 2025.”
Burna Boy didn’t stop there, calling out individuals flaunting what he described as “after-market rainbow Daytonas” and misrepresenting them as genuine luxury watches. “Please stop telling people it’s real. Do better in 2025,” he urged.
The Grammy-winning artiste concluded his message by suggesting that it should be a criminal offense to tell such “many lies,” adding that his list of grievances could “go on and on.”
In a separate post, Burna Boy called for an end to comparisons between himself and Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti. Declaring himself “BIG 7,” he emphasized his focus on “positivity, peace, and prosperity.”
However, in a striking statement, he added, “Honestly, I’d rather kill you than die for you.”
