Check out the trending video of Ayra Starr and Rihanna at the Crop Over Festival in Barbados

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr is making headlines after videos of her with global pop star Rihanna emerged from a festival in Barbados.

Recall that the two met at a Fenty Beauty show in London some time ago, where they seemed cosy with each other and even had a brief conversation that sparked a potential future collaboration. In an update on events, videos have surfaced showing both superstars living up to their best lives at the festival in Rihanna’s hometown of Barbados.

With festivals being one of the rich cultures of the Caribbean, the Crop Over festival is a 3-month-long festival of Barbadian music, arts, food, culture, and more. Since its inception in 1974, it has become a yearly event aimed at attracting tourists to the island and keeping the local folk culture alive. The festival usually kicks off in June and runs until the first Monday in August with a grand carnival parade known as Kadooment Day, considered the biggest Caribbean carnival.

Ayra Starr, whose branding has a visible correlation and is greatly influenced by the Rihanna of the early 2000s, continues to position her brand in the right direction with the latest link-up. Dressed elegantly in a Mas custom, Ayra, whose sophomore album ‘The Year I Turned 21′ is still buzzing, seemed to be having a great time with the Grammy-winning music and beauty icon at the festival.
