Combs’ lawyers argue that the videos, which feature poor audio and lighting, should be released to prepare trial materials. They also criticize the prosecution’s case, claiming it perpetuates sexist stereotypes about women’s agency.

Combs, currently incarcerated in Brooklyn, faces multiple civil suits and criminal charges, including allegations of coercion, blackmail, and rape. He pleads not guilty to all charges and faces a trial scheduled for May 5.
