Di’Ja teases her musical comeback, ‘The Latecomer’
Di’Ja, a famous Nigerian singer clarifies that she didn’t abandon Mavin Records.
On Monday, August 14, 2023, Nigerian singer Di’Ja celebrated her 39th birthday. She shared in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter; “I turned 39 years old today. I thank the Almighty Allah swt for His mercies on me. My husband, my family, friends and supporters, thank u so much for all the wishes today. Hehe sharing my new passport photo, time for renewal.”
While Di’Ja was receiving birthday well wishes and congratulations, an inquisitive fan used this as an opportunity to probe her. In his tweet, the fan asked her why she left Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records and implied that if she had stayed, she would have been a star as big as Tems.
Di’Ja however shut down the insinuation immediately. She states that she did not leave Mavin Records and that she is wishing Tems the best.

In a follow-up tweet, the famous singer then says she can’t wait to share her story with the world. She also teases her comeback music project ‘The Latecomer’ as a testament to how God brings her right to where she needs to be.

Di’Ja took a step back from music in 2015 after she got married in a private ceremony. The couple welcomed a baby together in 2016 and Di’Ja continued to focus on her family affairs till 2019 when she started doing music work publicly once again.
