During a World Press Conference focused on seeking justice for Mohbad, who died on September 12, 2023, Fabiyi alleged that Adura approached him with an offer to sell a contentious video for ₦3 million. The video, reportedly three seconds long, allegedly depicted a heated argument between Mohbad and his wife.
Fabiyi stated, “I was sent a direct message offering this brief video for ₦3 million. I requested uncensored content to better understand the situation, but the conversation was abruptly cut off.”
These allegations sparked backlash, with Mohbad’s mother interrupting the conference to defend her surviving son. She condemned Fabiyi’s remarks, accusing him of targeting Adura unjustly.
In response, Fabiyi reassured Mohbad’s mother of his intentions, saying, “I remain committed to protecting Adura and ensuring justice for Mohbad.”
