Federal Government announces public holidays for Christmas and New Year festivities.

The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, December 25th, Thursday, December 26th, 2024, and Wednesday, January 1st, 2025, as public holidays to mark Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year celebrations....CONTINUE READING>>>

This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement issued by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, in Abuja on Monday.

The Minister extended warm greetings to Nigerians, encouraging everyone to embrace the spirit of the festive season by reflecting on the values of love, peace, and unity. He emphasized the significance of the season as an opportunity to foster harmony and strengthen familial and communal bonds.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo urged citizens to remain dedicated to the peace, unity, and progress of the nation, stressing the importance of using the season for spiritual reflection and national renewal.

“As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, let us show kindness and goodwill to one another, regardless of our differences,” he stated.

The Minister also reassured Nigerians of the government’s ongoing commitment to peace, security, and prosperity, expressing confidence in President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to deliver a stronger economy in the new year.

He concluded by wishing all Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2025.
