Referencing Philippians 1:21-26, Pastor Adeboye explained how Apostle Paul encountered a significant choice regarding his time on earth. He stated, “Paul reflected, ‘Should I go home now, or should I remain for a while longer?’ He opted to stay to fulfill his mission. Only after completing his purpose did he say, ‘Now I’m ready to depart,’” Pastor Adeboye pointed out.

Additionally, he elaborated on the scriptural assurance found in Psalm 92:12-14, which promises that believers can thrive and be productive in their later years. Pastor Adeboye emphasized the divine assurance: “With long life, I will satisfy you,” noting that it is the individual’s satisfaction, rather than external conditions, that dictates the duration of their time on earth.

Turning to Reverend Ukpai, Pastor Adeboye affirmed, “God has made it clear, sir, that it is you who will determine when you wish to leave. The duration of your life is a matter between you and God; until you feel satisfied, there is no need to return home.”

He then encouraged the congregation to reflect on their life’s purpose and accomplishments. “You have the option to remain longer, continue to thrive, impact many lives, and bear fruit,” Pastor Adeboye urged.

He also encouraged Reverend Ukpai to make a choice regarding his time on earth, saying, “We cherish you and hope you will stay with us for many more years, but the decision ultimately rests with you,” underlining the significant collaboration between God and individuals in shaping their destinies.
