Stone passed away early Saturday morning following a vehicle collision, her longtime publicist, Yvonne Forbes, confirmed to CNN.

The accident occurred while Stone was traveling from Mobile, Alabama, to Atlanta, Georgia, in a Sprinter van with nine other people after a performance on Friday night. Details regarding the condition of other passengers have not yet been released.

In an official statement, her spokesperson said:

“Angie Stone’s voice and spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched. Details regarding memorial services will be announced by the family in due course.”
