The dispute stems from Lande’s allegations against his estranged wife, Dara, whom he accused of infidelity. He claimed to have videos proving her involvement with multiple men, including his colleague Baba Tee. Portable, known for his provocative style, made a song about the scandal, which infuriated Lande.
In a video shared on social media, Lande threatened the singer, saying:
“Portable, I see all the nonsense you are doing. You are using my life story to sing. You will pay for it. When they slept with one of your wives the other time, you were crying all over the Internet. Don’t worry, you will pay for your crimes someday.”
Meanwhile, Dara has refuted Lande’s accusations, describing him as a gambling addict and an abusive partner. She denied the claim that she slept with 21 men and dared him to release any video evidence he claims to have.
Speaking in an interview with actress Biola Adebayo, Dara revealed that her ex-husband’s manager, Marygold, played a significant role in the breakdown of their marriage. She claimed Lande frequently sided with Marygold during disputes, leading to tensions in their relationship.
Dara recounted her struggles while living with Lande, saying:
“When I met Lande, I didn’t date him because of money. People were against our relationship, and I was already dating someone else. But my friend Marygold convinced me to be with him. He plays Aviator (online betting) excessively, losing millions. He even sold his car to gamble. He was always glued to betting sites, neglecting me. I had to buy food on credit because he wouldn’t take care of me. On top of that, he beat me due to his anger issues.”
She further explained that their problems escalated when Marygold defaulted on a monthly savings contribution, and Lande defended her instead of supporting Dara.
Addressing the scandal involving Baba Tee, Dara admitted to playing a ‘Truth or Dare’ game at his residence but insisted she was drunk and unaware of what transpired. She recalled sitting on Baba Tee’s lap but expressed deep regret for participating in the game.
This ongoing drama continues to unfold, with both sides making strong accusations against each other.
