Taking to Instagram, Ini Edo described her late father as “a man after God’s heart, a lover of life, and the heart of the party.” She expressed gratitude to the people and government of Akwa Ibom for their support, specifically acknowledging Governor Umo Eno and Deputy Governor Akon Eyakenyi for their presence. She also appreciated former Governor Udom Emmanuel for standing by her family.

“To the glory of God, we gave our father a funeral befitting for a man after God’s heart, a lover of life, and the heart of the party,” she wrote.

She thanked her colleagues and friends for their unwavering support despite their busy schedules and economic challenges, emphasizing how much their presence meant to her.

In a heartfelt note to her family, Ini Edo praised their strength and unity through the difficult time, reflecting on how their upbringing—rooted in love, faith, and togetherness—helped them stay resilient.

“Since Daddy passed in December, we have been challenged spiritually, physically, and financially. I am so proud of us, and I am sure we made Daddy proud,” she shared.
