Lande Clarifies Viral Video with Baba Tee, Says He Was Unaware of the Recording

In an interview with PUNCH, Lande explained that he was unaware the video was being recorded, revealing that it was captured by one of Baba Tee’s team members without his knowledge.

The video, which quickly spread on social media, showed Baba Tee apologizing to Lande, leading many to believe the two were reconciling. However, Lande clarified that while he acknowledged Baba Tee’s apology, he was not ready to work with him due to unresolved personal issues.

The tension between the two stems from a long-standing controversy involving Lande’s estranged wife, Dara. Lande had publicly accused Dara of infidelity with multiple men in the entertainment industry, including Baba Tee. Lande claims their marriage began to unravel in 2024 when he noticed changes in Dara’s behavior, which he later attributed to her involvement with more than 21 men.

Dara denied these allegations and accused Lande of being addicted to online betting, which caused financial strain and instances of physical abuse. She also pointed to a mutual acquaintance, Marygold, as playing a part in their separation.

The situation intensified when a video surfaced of Dara playing a “Truth or Dare” game with Baba Tee. This led to widespread speculation and prompted Baba Tee to publicly apologize to Lande, admitting to a brief interaction with Dara but denying any ongoing affair.

While Lande accepted Baba Tee’s apology, he was still reluctant to reconcile professionally. Regarding the viral video, Lande clarified his reaction. He explained that although it appeared as if he was begging, he was simply preventing Baba Tee from kneeling during the apology. “As an older colleague, I couldn’t allow him to kneel like that, so I held his waist,” Lande explained. He further emphasized, “It was while he was apologizing that someone from his team recorded the video without me noticing.”
