Peter Okoye Responds to Song Theft Allegations by Brother Paul

Peter Okoye, known as Mr P, has responded to allegations made by his twin brother, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy), concerning song theft. Paul recently accused Peter and their former producer, Vampire, of stealing a song titled Winning, which Paul claimed he wrote and planned to include in his upcoming album. In his response, Mr P dismissed the claim, stating that the song was co-written by him and Calypso60, not solely by Paul. He argued that it was impossible for him to steal his own creation and emphasized his right to release the music. In an Instagram post, Mr P expressed gratitude to Vampire for clarifying the situation and reiterated that all contributors, including Calypso60 and Goldswarm (co-producer), deserved credit for the work.

Peter urged Paul to stop focusing on negativity and allow him to pursue his music career without drama. He reminded fans and critics alike of his open letter from months prior, where he requested peace and freedom to work on his music.

The rift between the brothers is part of a longstanding pattern of disputes that began in 2017 when P-Square first disbanded. Although they reunited briefly in 2021, tensions resurfaced over issues including financial disputes and recent arrests involving Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Peter has denied allegations of orchestrating those events, and the brothers remain at odds over these and other disputes.
