Police Detain Officer Involved in Viral Video of Chief Okoya’s Sons Allegedly Abusing Naira
The Nigeria Police Force has identified and detained one of its officers featured in a viral video involving the alleged abuse of the naira by the sons of Lagos businessman, Chief Razak Okoya. Adejobi stated, “The policeman shown in the viral video, shared by the sons of Chief Okoya, in which they were seen abusing the naira, has been identified and detained for disciplinary action. His involvement in the incident has been condemned as unethical.”
He further emphasized, “We remain committed to upholding the integrity, credibility, and core values of the police force.”
While the police action has received praise from netizens, many also called for the arrest and detention of Chief Okoya’s sons, who allegedly committed the offense.
