TG Omori reveal how his brother donated his kidney to save him

Nigerian music director and cinematographer, ThankGod Omori Smith, widely known as TG Omori or Boy Director, has shared that his only brother recently donated a kidney to him.

TG Omori made this known on Tuesday while opening up on his health challenges.

In a now trending post on his official X, TG Omori said the kidney transplant took place on Monday, August 26, 2024.

“Yesterday my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again,” he wrote.

Also taking to his Instagram story, the music director shared pictures of himself on a hospital bed receiving oxygen.

Captioning the pictures, he wrote: “keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die.”

The music director had been away from the public for some time and his absence has caused a lot of concern among fans.

Earlier, TG Omori announced that he has decided to stop smoking.

Announcing his resolution through his online platform, Omori shared, “Quit smoking today.”

Joining the ranks of Nigerian celebrities who have pledged to quit smoking, including Kizz Daniel, Tonto Dikeh, and Charly Boy, Omori aims to stick to his decision.
