Speaking in an emotional interview on Debby Show’s YouTube channel, Oladimeji recounted how her husband repeatedly physically abused her, taking advantage of the fact that she had no mother to stand up for her. She described her marriage as a painful journey filled with maltreatment and emotional distress.

According to her, she initially received support from her mother’s family after getting married. However, as they had their own responsibilities, they eventually left her in the hands of her husband’s family, which she believes gave her husband the freedom to mistreat her without consequences.

Oladimeji painted a harrowing picture of her experience, explaining how her husband’s violent nature made her pregnancies even more difficult. She strongly believes that if her mother had been alive, she would have protected her from the abuse.

In her words:
“Everyone who has a mother should take care of her very well because a mother is a strong pillar of support who will do anything to ensure her children survive. When I got married, it was my mother’s family that stood up for me. However, because they all had their own responsibilities, they pushed me to my husband’s family, and this allowed my husband to maltreat me however he wanted. Men out there are hooligans and very wicked. My husband used to beat me during pregnancy because I didn’t have a mother who could fight back for me. If I had a mother to defend me, he wouldn’t have been able to maltreat me like that.”

Her emotional testimony sheds light on the importance of family support in marriage and the dangers of domestic abuse.
