In a TikTok video shared on Saturday, VDM pointed out that Asake has been making headlines for negative reasons since his exit, particularly his public fallout with his father. He also claimed that the singer is struggling to dominate the music charts as he once did.

According to him, Asake’s recent album initially failed to reach number one on streaming platforms, but following the family drama, it suddenly topped the charts.

“Asake recently left YBNL, and I saw a tweet that he can’t make number one on streaming platforms with his album. Before, his albums used to spend time on the charts. Now, I saw Asake at number one after his drama with his father. It’s not surprising; they had to do the whole father stunt in order for him to get to number one,” he said.

His claims have sparked mixed reactions online, with some agreeing with his perspective while others dismissed it as mere speculation.
