The new extended play, titled after the Japanese concept of “a reason for living,” marks a significant moment in Olamide’s career, showcasing how he has blossomed as an artist and businessman.

Ikigai, a philosophy rooted in Japanese culture, encourages individuals to identify their life’s purpose by finding the intersection of passion, profession, vocation, and mission. Olamide, a renowned veteran in the Nigerian music industry, seems to be using this EP as a platform for self-discovery and reflection.

Ikigai / 生き甲斐, Vol. 1 unfolds over seven impressive tracks, each one with its unique sonic offering.
