Speaking to an audience of pastors and church leaders, Bishop Abioye emphasized that a spiritually lukewarm church poses grave risks, not only to its members but also to its mission of transforming lives. He warned, *“We need to generate more heat in our assemblies. Otherwise, how can sinners come to the church and leave untouched? They even come to pollute the church because they see that the church is weak.”

To illustrate his point, Bishop Abioye recounted a gripping personal experience. He narrated how a man once attended a church he pastored, intending to harm him using a charm concealed in a ring. According to the bishop, the man later confessed that upon stepping into the church premises, the charm mysteriously disappeared from his finger. 

“This man came to the church with the intent to harm me, but as he entered the church grounds, the charm vanished. That is the power of God at work,” the bishop declared. 

He underscored the significance of maintaining spiritual fire to repel evil and protect believers from attacks. *“If you’re not on fire, they will afflict you,” he cautioned, urging ministers to prioritize spiritual fervor on their altars. 

Bishop Abioye concluded by challenging church leaders to reignite the fire of the Holy Spirit in their assemblies, emphasizing that only through spiritual intensity can churches remain sanctuaries of deliverance and transformation. *“The church must be a place of power, where lives are changed and evil is subdued,”* he affirmed.
