According to eyewitness accounts, three men who had previously visited the school’s proprietor were accused of being responsible for bringing the IED to the school premises. The explosion not only caused casualties but also disrupted the peace of the local community, leaving residents in shock and fear.

Addressing journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, stated that the police have gathered important leads in their investigation. He emphasized the importance of a thorough inquiry to avoid premature conclusions. “We have some clues to what actually happened. This is not the right time for us to say much about the incident because we don’t want to be judgmental. Let them finish their investigation,” Adejobi said.

Adejobi further assured the public of the police’s commitment to uncovering the truth behind the explosion and ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice. He also appealed for calm, urging residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by providing any relevant information that could assist in the investigation. The police spokesperson reiterated the need for vigilance and proactive measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
