His wife informed the village head, who then organized a search party. On October 26, the searchers discovered Femi’s body in the forest, which had bullet wounds on his back, with his hunting gun nearby.Odutola stated that Femi’s wife, Grace James, reported him missing on October 25 at around 5 PM when he did not come back from the hunt.

The village head was notified the next morning, leading to a search that ultimately uncovered Femi’s remains.Authorities mentioned that attempts to find Taoreed, Femi’s hunting partner, were unsuccessful as he and his family had disappeared from the village, raising suspicions about his potential involvement in Femi’s death.

An investigation is underway to determine the details surrounding Femi’s death. His body has been sent to the State Hospital in Ijebu-Ode for an autopsy as authorities continue to gather information.
