Imo Activist Nonso Nkwa Abducted Again by Gunmen
Chinonso Uba, also known as Nonso Nkwa, a well-known human rights activist and social commentator, was abducted by unidentified gunmen on Sunday evening. This marks the second time Nonso Nkwa, a radio host at Ozisa FM Owerri (owned by the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri), has been kidnapped near the same spot, just after leaving the station, which is located on the premises of Assumpta Cathedral, also along Port Harcourt Road.
In recent days, Nonso Nkwa has been outspoken about the rising incidents of armed robbery and kidnapping in Imo State, warning the public and calling for action.He has also been critical of the extortion faced by youths in Imo State at the hands of security forces, particularly the police.
