Following the collision, both the truck driver and his conductor fled the scene, leaving the victim fatally injured. Local officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) quickly responded to the scene, managing the traffic congestion caused by the crash and ensuring that the area was cleared as efficiently as possible.

The body of the deceased was later transferred to the Adigboluje Police Division for further formalities. Meanwhile, the truck involved in the accident has been impounded by the police for further investigation.
