Lagos State Police Hunts Truck Driver After Fatal Accident Involving A Revenue Collector

The Lagos State Police have launched a manhunt for a truck driver involved in a fatal accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Sunday, which resulted in the death of a revenue collector. Following the collision, both the truck driver and his conductor fled the scene, leaving the victim fatally injured. Local officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) quickly responded to the scene, managing the traffic congestion caused by the crash and ensuring that the area was cleared as efficiently as possible.

The body of the deceased was later transferred to the Adigboluje Police Division for further formalities. Meanwhile, the truck involved in the accident has been impounded by the police for further investigation. Authorities have called on transport unions to assist in locating the driver and ensuring that action is taken against those responsible for the incident.

This incident has raised further concerns over road safety and the safety of revenue collectors working along the busy expressway, and the police have vowed to pursue all leads in their search for the fleeing driver.
