LP drama breaks out in PEPT As SAN insists on representing Obi

When Senior Advocate of Nigeria Oba Maduabuchi persisted on representing the Labour Party in the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in the Court of Appeal today, there was a small amount of drama… CONTINUE READING….. 

Reports say the Maduabuchi, SAN, stood up to introduce himself after the counsels for Peter Obi and Labour Party introduced themselves, and Mrs. May Ngwu appeared for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and Sanussi Samaila, SAN, the Head of Legal Services for the All Progressive Congress appeared for APC but was shut down by the lead Justice.

Shutting him down, the lead Justice made it clear that petitioners cannot have a different legal representation… CONTINUE READING….. 

“As a learned silk, you should know better that there cannot be two counsels appearing for a petitioner”.

Subsequently, Maduabuchi SAN walked out of the courtroom with the faction leader of the Labour Party Lamidi Apapa.
