The Uber driver, who recorded the incident, shared that Ikwechegh grew angry when asked to step outside his home to receive the delivery. The video shows Ikwechegh visibly enraged, insulting and scolding the driver for making the request, which he apparently considered disrespectful.

As the argument escalated, the lawmaker slapped the driver several times and emphasized that his social status made the driver’s request inappropriate. At one point, Ikwechegh even threatened the driver, saying he could make him “disappear” without facing any repercussions.
