He made this statement on social media in response to comments from Dr. Reuben Abati, a former presidential spokesperson and current Arise TV anchor.During a recent TV appearance, Abati suggested that Kalu’s backing of President Tinubu was linked to the dismissal of his case, which he claimed was due to poor prosecution and procedural issues.

Abati implied that the EFCC was barred from pursuing the case further.In his rebuttal, Kalu deemed Abati’s remarks disrespectful to both himself and President Tinubu. He pointed out that Tinubu was not in office when the legal matters concerning him were being resolved.Kalu emphasized that he consistently attended all court sessions over the 12 years of his legal battles and that he is not someone who avoids the courts.

He refrained from discussing the judiciary in detail, indicating that the issues he faced had already been adjudicated.He further stated that he had been in court with 19 witnesses who found no wrongdoing on his part. Kalu expressed gratitude for his experiences, including his time in jail, which he believes allowed him to understand various aspects of life better.

He mentioned that had he traveled to Wuhan as planned, the onset of COVID-19 could have had dire consequences for him.Kalu asserted that he is not afraid of death and prides himself on his honesty. He stated that he supports the president and the party, emphasizing that he is following biblical teachings to pray for and support leaders.

Finally, Kalu advised Abati to stick to journalism or consider entering politics if he desires to influence governance, indicating a clear divide between their respective roles.
