Ihunwo accused Wike of losing his influence over the people, making it hard for his opposition to gain traction in Rivers State. He also alleged that Wike has been using his perceived influence over the judiciary and employing elders to organize protests aimed at disrupting local governance.
Highlighting the solidarity of the local population, Ihunwo stated that Rivers State residents stand firmly behind his administration. âWe have full control over our local government, and theyâve lost the support of the people,â Ihunwo asserted. âTheir court tactics are distractions, but they donât have the numbers to push it through. Ihunwoâs remarks indicate his assurance in local backing and his dedication to protecting the interests of the residents from any external disruptions.
