According to the groups, there is nothing that will stop the handing over adding that Nigerians should come together and unite for a better tomorrow.
The national chairman of TSN who is also the director general, Amalgamated APC Support Groups, Engr Kailani Muhammad, said the unity and peace of Nigeria is far more important than any other interest.
Speaking when the two groups met in Abuja and strategised on the things that will help the incoming administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kailani said the administration will benefit all Nigerians.
He also advocated for the Independent legislature and advised competent lawmakers to pursue their ambition of becoming the presiding officers of the National Assembly until the last moment.
“Those planning to scuttle the May 29 handover date are jokers. Nothing would stop the May 29 handover. It is a Constitutional matter,” Kailani said.
What Tinubu, Obasanjo Told Abbas, Kalu Over Reps Speakership Race
ABUJA – The President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday in Lagos met with APC’s anointed candidates for Speaker, Deputy Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, Honourables Tajudeen Abbas and Benjamin Kalu.
Recall that the National Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC), on Monday zoned the positions of the Senate President of the 10th National Assembly to the South-south, Deputy Senate President NorthWest, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, North-West and Deputy Speaker South East. The ruling party also agreed on a consensus that the former Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Senator Godswill Akpabio has been anointed as the next Senate President, Deputy Senate President, Jubrin Barau, while Hon. Tajudeen Abass from Kaduna State and Hon. Benjamin Kalu from Abia State were anointed as the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House respectively.
Atiku Calls For Revamping Of PDP
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has called for the revamping of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to regain its eminent and dominant leadership role in Nigeria and Africa.
The party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, gave the advice at a programme “welcome/reception of PDP governors-elect and send forth of the past PDP Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) chairmen” on Thursday in Abuja.

Abubakar said that the PDP formed in 1999 as a dominant political party was passing through challenges that must be addressed.
“We have a number of challenges. We started as a dominant political party in 1999 and since then, we have been receding.
“I think it is time for us to take stock and find out why we are receding and how we can make sure that our eminent position as the leading political party in this country, as the oldest political party in this country, we regain our position.
APC Will Revisit Zoning Template–Umahi
GOVERNOR David Umahi of Ebonyi state has said that the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC would revisit the zoning template for the 10th National Assembly Presiding offices that appears to be causing crisis and creating problems for the ruling as Senators and members of the House of Representatives have vehemently kicked against it.
The Ebonyi state Governor who is a Senator- elect said that no Nigerian can be asked to be patriotic if he or she has been intentionally excluded from the scheme of things that relate to the country.
Answering questions from Journalists in Abuja at the ongoing Induction Programme for Members- elect of the National Assembly organised by the National Assembly and National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, Umahi said that Nigeria as country should be seen to be one where the leadership must seat down and take a conscious decision to do things differently.
