Troops Rescue Kidnap Victims, Arrest Suspects in Kaduna State

The intelligence-led operation resulted in a confrontation between the troops and the kidnappers. Overpowered by the superior firepower of the security forces, the criminals fled, abandoning their captives. As a result, five victims were freed, identified as:

- Mr. Abdullahi Saleh (38 years old)
- Master Blessed Haruna (17 years old)
- Mrs. Mary Nuhu (32 years old)
- Mrs. Charity Nuhu (35 years old)
- Mr. Abubakar Wakili (25 years old)
During the pursuit of the fleeing criminals, the troops apprehended three suspects, namely:
- Mr. Abubakar Shehu (30 years old)
- Mr. Mohammed Sani (20 years old)
- Mr. Adamu Mohammed (25 years old)
A thorough search of the area led to the recovery of several items, including:

- One fabricated revolver rifle
- Nine rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition
- Two mobile phones
- Two machetes
- Thirty-two rustled cows
- ₦521,000 in cash, suspected to be ransom money
The rescued victims were debriefed and later reunited with their families. One victim who suffered machete injuries was immediately taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
The arrested suspects are currently in military custody and are providing intelligence to aid follow-up operations aimed at dismantling the criminal network.
