Wike to Ngozi Odu: Don't Let Anyone Take Credit for Your Success

At a reception to celebrate the 71st birthday and first chieftaincy anniversary of the Paramount Ruler of Emohua Kingdom in Rivers State, Sergeant Awuse, the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, advised the deputy governor of Rivers State, Ngozi Odu, not to pay attention to those who are trying to take credit for her success. Wike said that Odu had worked hard to get where she is today, and that she should not let anyone diminish her accomplishments. He urged her to continue to be strong and to focus on her work.

The reception was attended by a number of dignitaries, including the current governor of Rivers State, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike.

Wike also revealed that Sergeant Awuse picked the governor of the state to represent the party and fly the flag. He added that the truth is bitter and must be told because, whether a person says it or not, he’ll still die. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>

According to him, “Let the truth be told, you’re one of those, during the process of selection, that stood firm that the governor should be the one that will fly the flag of our party. Osiji Okoja was there; he knows what I’m talking about. Fedi Alakolaba was there; he knows what I’m talking about, and when we accepted the deputy governor, Forget this one now that people are claiming it. Deputy governor, I know who recommended you; after God, go and thank the person. Forget people who are parading themselves now as if they’re the ones who brought you. It is not correct. I have to tell you the simple truths. The truth is bitter, but you must say it; if you say it, you’ll die, and if you don’t say it, you’ll die, so why not say it?”
