With 8,794,726 votes, Tinubu of the APC defeated Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, who acquired 6,984,520 votes, Peter Obi of the Labour Social gathering, LP, who acquired 6,101,533 votes, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Social gathering, NNPP, who acquired 1,496,687 votes.
