In an interview on the ‘Mic On’ podcast hosted by Nigerian journalist Seun Okinbaloye, Aisha dismissed claims suggesting she is a Labour Party member or connected to any political party.The BringBackOurGirls co-founder also stressed that she has never sought political appointments or favors, highlighting that her work is driven by her financial independence, which she established before engaging in activism.

“I made sure I was financially independent before speaking on Nigerian issues,” Aisha explained. “I have never been a Labour Party member or held membership in any party. I challenge anyone, living or dead, to say I have ever approached them for an appointment, contract, or any favor.
