Akume Is Not Classmate Of Mine; He’s My Superior Prefect Because I Became A Governor In 2007 — Akpabio
During the dinner in honor of the secretary to the government of the federation, the Senate president, Godswill Akpabio, stated that George Akume is not his classmate but his senior prefect because he was a governor in 2007. He stated that his reason for calling him the senior prefect is because Akume has added SGF to his former titles of GSM and GSM Dagga. He, however, congratulated George Akume for his achievement as secretary to the government of the federation. He further stated that their national chairman called him his classmate because they both belong to a class of 1999.
According to him, “My brother, George Akume, I call him my colleague. The national chairman said he was his classmate; that was the class of 1999. He wasn’t my classmate; he was my senior prefect because I became a governor in 2007, and I can tell you that the reason I said he’s my colleague is that in the present executive council, myself, Gov. Ngige, and himself were the ones that had the acronym GSM.
