Recall that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who hails from Lagos State in the Southwest geopolitical zone of Nigeria has been declared winner of the recently-conducted presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos State defeated other strong contenders including Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.

The G-5 Governors led by Nyesom Wike were against the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar before the poll. They demanded that the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu should resign before they can support to political ambition of the PDP candidate.

Taking swipe at Rotimi Amaechi, Governor Nyesom Wike said; “You said you love the Igbos, but you supported Atiku for president. You refuse to support Obi. You didn’t know the Igbos then, that you were supposed to support them.”
