In an interview with Nigeria Info FM, Rhodes-Vivour alleged that the APC attracts individuals with criminal records and questionable qualifications, enabling them to occupy key political positions. He described recent events in the Lagos State House of Assembly as evidence of the manipulative influence of a cabal dominating the state’s politics.

“It is visible even to the blind that APC is a party that rewards corruption, thuggery, and impunity. It’s no surprise they attract the worst of us: fake lawyers and leaders with records of crime, without certificates,” Rhodes-Vivour remarked.

He further criticized the APC’s approach to governance, claiming it lacked ideas and instead relied on bigotry, violence, and electoral malpractice to secure power.

“No nation can grow with a party populated by people without character, competence, and empathy,” he asserted.

Rhodes-Vivour also accused APC leaders in Lagos of prioritizing the interests of influential cabals over those of the general public. He expressed concern that political leaders in the party serve the cabals who help them gain power, rather than the people they are meant to represent.

“The people that are rewarded are the ones who bend to the will of the cabals that put them there, not the will of the people. A governor is not just a governor for APC members; they’re carrying the destinies of over 20 million souls. They must be accountable to all, not just the cabal,” he emphasized.

He concluded by lamenting that such leadership practices undermine public trust and misuse the commonwealth and taxes meant to benefit the people.
