In the statement, NNPP said that Kwankwaso did not congratulate Tinubu because the presidential election was flawed and that the outcome did not reflect the will of the Nigerian people.

NNPP also said that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had failed to conduct a credible and transparent election as it did not upload the polling units results to its portals, which could have guaranteed the authenticity of the results and declaration of the winner of the presidential election.

As such, the NNPP statement concluded that the best response from Kwankwaso was to reject the outcome of the February 25, 2023, presidential election, and to urge the Nigerian people to keep fighting for a free, fair and credible electoral process.

This is particularly important to ensure that the people’s will is reflected in the election results and to guarantee the credibility of the Nigerian electoral system.

It is clear that Kwankwaso was right to reject the flawed presidential election and to call for a more credible and transparent process for future elections. This is why it is critical for all Nigerians to demand electoral reforms and to ensure that their votes count in every election.
