Results of the 2023 Nigeria general election continue to occupy media space, Daily Trust has reported that the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi has defeated the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos. According to Daily Post, Tinubu come out victorious in more local governments of Lagos State, however, Peter Obi of the Labour Party has the majority of votes in the total votes cast. INEC has declared all the results of the 20 local governments in Lagos State, Bola Tinubu won 11 Local governments, while Peter Obi won nine local governments.

According to the report, Tinubu won Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere and Mushin local governments of Lagos State. While Peter Obi won Eti-Osa, Amuwo Odofin, Ikeja, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Alimosho, Ojo, and Somolu Local governments.
With the results announced, Peter Obi of the Labour Party scored 582,130 while Bola Tinubu of APC gathered 571,057.
