Identifying himself as a “counselor in the celestial realm,” Melaye offered Wike advice, particularly about how he conducts himself when drinking. He stressed the need for caution in what one says while consuming alcohol, offering the following guidance:”My advice to Nyesom Wike, from a Christian standpoint as a child of God, is to educate those who may not be behaving normally.

We need to pray for them, guide them, and counsel them. As a counselor from the celestial realm, my advice is simple: when you drink, don’t talk, and when you talk, don’t drink.”Melaye’s statement was intended as a well-meaning piece of advice, encouraging Wike to be more measured in his words and actions, especially when alcohol is involved, in order to avoid worsening the political conflict in Rivers State.
