Fubara Explains Why He Appointed Wike's Commissioners, SSG

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has said his administration was appointing people who served under former Governor Nyesom Wike’s administration because they are persons with wealth of experience and would contribute meaningfully to the success of his government.

Fubara said this yesterday shortly after swearing-in Dr. Tammy Danagogo as the Secretary to the Rivers State Government (SSG), Chidi Amadi as Chief of Staff, Government House, and Dr. Adaeze Chidinma Oreh as a Commissioner at Government House, Port Harcourt.

Recall that Danagogo served as SSG to Wike’s government. And while nine out of the eleven Commissioners appointed so far by the governor served under his predecessor, only two persons are fresh. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>

Meanwhile, the governor has vowed that he will not fail the people, stressing that his administration is founded on the mantra of continuity and consolidation.

The governor said he was mindful of success hence, his commitment towards ensuring good governance and delivering dividends of democracy to the people.

He charged the newly sworn-in officers to be fair to everybody in their dealings while offering their best services to the administration.

Fubara, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Boniface Onyedi, said his stewardship is open to constructive criticism from the public, as it would help in identifying areas and issues that require more attention.
