This development was announced in a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Musa, on Saturday.

Aruwan, who initially served as Senior Special Assistant on Media to El-Rufai from 2015 to 2019, transitioned to lead the newly created Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs. However, recent controversies have clouded his tenure.

In October, the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) recommended his suspension alongside three others over alleged misconduct. On November 8, Aruwan faced trial on six charges, including false asset declaration and failure to disclose accounts with certain Nigerian banks prior to his appointment as commissioner.

Governor Sani has named James Atung Kanyip as the new Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs. Other notable appointments include:

• Ibrahim Mohammed as Commissioner for Finance
• Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed (also) as Commissioner for Finance
• Barde Yunana Markus as Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs
• Farida Abubakar Ahmed as Executive Director, Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) Radio
• Vitus Azuka Ewuzie as Senior Special Assistant for Legal Matters

Additionally, Francis Damina was appointed Senior Special Assistant for Research and Documentation, Victor Mathew Bobai as Senior Special Assistant for Public Affairs, Abdulmutallib Isah as Senior Special Assistant for Special Duties, and Abdulhaleem Ishaq Ringim as Special Assistant for Economic Matters.

The reshuffle reflects the governor’s commitment to reorganizing his administration and addressing critical governance issues.
