Ikenga Ugochinyere to Wike: You Opposed Atiku, Supported Tinubu, Yet Peter Obi Won in Port Harcourt
Ikenga Ugochinyere, a political analyst, has criticized the recent political moves of Nyesom Wike, particularly his support for Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate. Despite Wike’s endorsement, Tinubu was defeated in Port Harcourt by Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
Ugochinyere questioned Wike’s motivations, suggesting that his actions were self-serving rather than driven by any genuine southern agenda. He pointed out Wike’s opposition to Okowa and Atiku, alongside his support for Tinubu and the APC.
Ugochinyere also referenced the disputed election results in Port Harcourt, where he alleged that there was manipulation. He asserted that Peter Obi’s victory was clear, despite efforts to alter the outcome.
In his own words, Ugochinyere stated, “He made us believe that it was about a southern agenda, but there was no southern agenda because as long as you were willing to be a vice president, it was all about you. You fought Okowa and Atiku, you followed Tinubu, and you worked for APC, but even in that effort, he lost Port Harcourt. Have we forgotten? Peter Obi defeated them. We saw the tampering with the results. Some of them were uploaded to the IReV.”
This situation underscores the ongoing political tensions and the criticisms directed at Wike’s recent actions. It remains to be seen how Wike and his supporters will respond to Ugochinyere’s remarks as the situation continues to develop.
