According to Daily trust, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as winner of the election, but Atiku and Obi are challenging the outcome of the poll in court.
… Continue ReadingYakasai, the grand patron of the committee, responded to questions during a press conference on Sunday in Abuja. He emphasized that the election was free and fair and that the minority would have a voice while the majority would get its way.
That is the beauty of democracy, he remarked. The majority will rule, with the minority having a voice. More than 70 percent of the more than 200 million people in this country are from the North, and we are the ones who have decided how the country will develop.
“The beauty of democracy is that the law stipulates that anyone who is dissatisfied with the results of an election may file a lawsuit.
“The obvious thing for everyone to do today is to give the president their full support in the work of solving the various problems besetting our country, which need all hands on deck to handle,”
