In his statement, Okocha pointed fingers at Governor Sim Fubara and his associates, accusing them of failing to take action against growing security threats.

“The chaos we are witnessing is not an accident; it is orchestrated by those who wish to destabilize our state for their political gain,” he stated.

He further alleged that certain factions are using fear and destruction as a tool to manipulate public perception and weaken the current administration.

“These individuals boast openly about their intentions to sabotage our economy, and they are not just threats; they are acting on their words,” he added.

Okocha also recalled a recent meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, where he highlighted the urgent need for a united front against these threats.

“We discussed the pressing need for a united front against these elements. The President expressed his commitment to restoring peace in Rivers State,” he said.

Additionally, he criticized Governor Fubara for allegedly disregarding judicial rulings that could have helped prevent these violent incidents.

“The Supreme Court has made it clear that the governor must adhere to the law, yet he has chosen to flout these directives,” Okocha claimed.

The pipeline attacks remain a serious security concern, and Okocha insists that immediate and decisive action is necessary to restore stability in Rivers State.
