Ugochinyere accused Anyanwu of misleading party members during the election process, asserting that he misrepresented the party’s readiness for the gubernatorial election. The lawmaker claimed, “He crowned himself a governorship candidate, misled all of us, without people knowing that we were not ready for the election.”

Further allegations were made concerning Anyanwu’s post-election behavior, suggesting that he acted in the interests of the APC without the knowledge of PDP members. Ugochinyere remarked, “After you lost the election, you now return back and say you are still the National Secretary of the party.”

Additionally, Ugochinyere called attention to Anyanwu’s alleged ties with former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, questioning the legitimacy of his claim to leadership. He concluded his criticism by pointing to legal maneuvers employed to secure his position, asserting that injunctions were sought to enable Anyanwu to remain in office and undermine the party’s integrity.
