PDP Responds to Court Decision Upholding Udeh-Okoye as National Secretary

Ologunagba emphasized the party’s respect for the judiciary, stating that the PDP, as a law-abiding organization, would adhere to the judgment, which had been delivered on December 24, 2023.

The Court of Appeal’s ruling upheld an earlier High Court decision that removed Senator Samuel Anyanwu from the position of National Secretary.

“On December 24, 2023, after consulting with our National Legal Adviser, we received the judgment affirming Udeh-Okoye as the National Secretary of the party,” Ologunagba explained.

“As a party that believes in the rule of law, we respect the finality of the judicial process, and our position remains unchanged.”

He stressed that PDP has always upheld judicial pronouncements, adding that the party would ensure full compliance with the court’s directive.

“We have always been a party that complies with court orders.

We received the judgment and, in line with our values, we are bound to follow the due process,” Ologunagba confirmed.

He reiterated that the PDP’s commitment to upholding the law would guide their actions moving forward.

This statement comes amid ongoing internal disputes within the party, which has seen conflicting claims over party leadership roles.

However, with the Court of Appeal’s ruling now final, PDP has committed to implementing the judicial decision regarding its National Secretary.

The PDP has faced internal challenges and legal battles over party leadership in recent months, but Ologunagba’s declaration signals the party’s intention to move forward in accordance with the law.
