Describing the killings in Amagu, Amaokwe, and Umunesha in Nkalaha, Ishielu Local Government Area, as brutal, Obi expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of at least 15 lives, with many others still missing.

In a statement on Thursday, he called on security agencies to take swift and decisive action against those responsible, stressing that such violence threatens national peace and stability.

“This atrocity is part of a disturbing pattern of violence in our nation. The destruction of lives and property is an affront to our collective humanity,” Obi stated.

He extended his condolences to the victims’ families and urged security forces to ensure justice. He also called on communities to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement to combat criminal activities.

“May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may we find the strength to build a more secure and united Nigeria,” he concluded.
