“The ongoing incidents of killings, kidnappings, and other violent crimes across the nation remain a major worry for many. The situation seems to worsen by the day and shows no signs of abating,” Obi remarked.

His condemnation of violence was highlighted by a recent tragic incident involving several crew members from Supersports TV, who lost their lives in an ambush.

These media professionals were attacked along the Ihiala-Orlu Road in Anambra State while traveling to Uyo for an official assignment.

“I completely condemn the tragic killing of the Supersports TV crew members, who were victims of this senseless ambush,” Obi stated.

The former governor also referenced another incident just two days earlier in the Agatu local government area of Benue State, where a terror attack resulted in deaths and injuries.

Obi posed a critical question: “How much longer will we allow our people to die before we take a stand and say enough is enough?” This serves as a call to action against the widespread violence.
