Nwanyanwu’s remarks were made during an interview with Symfoni, where he expressed skepticism about the integrity of the police force amid troubling reports concerning the storage of electoral materials.

He alleged that trucks have been prepared to disrupt the electoral process, casting doubt on the claims of ignorance made by the Commissioner of Police regarding these activities. Drawing parallels to military governance, Nwanyanwu stated that the actions observed in the current political climate mirror tendencies typical of military regimes.

He criticized the current administration for not actively opposing military rule in the past, contrasting their actions with those of genuine pro-democracy advocates.
