Dr. Leloonu Nwibubasa, a spokesman for the PDP PCC in Rivers State, reportedly wrote this in a letter to Governor Wike on Sunday, and it was made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt. In it, he claimed that Tinubu “shot himself in the foot” by visiting Rivers without first meeting with Rotimi Amaechi, the leader of the APC in the state.

Leloonu added that no matter what Wike does to his appointees in Rivers, Atiku will still win in Rivers while criticising Wike.

“When I speak to you, there is disarray in Wike’s camp,” he remarked. Wike sent a letter to 23 chairmen of Rivers’ local governments, asking them to quit if Tinubu does not win in their area. If Tinubu did not win in their LGAs, he threatened to “announce their resignation that they are no longer chairman of council,” therefore he requested them to sign the letter as a precaution.

Leloonu continued, saying such a high degree of pressure should make it very evident that WIke is aware of the resistance he faces and that his viewpoint is not the position of his followers.
