After a loan spell at Real Madrid that didn’t result in a permanent move, Kepa, 30, joined Bournemouth, where he has played a key role in their promising season. Despite some errors, manager Andoni Iraola is reportedly satisfied with his performances and keen to retain him.
According to The Telegraph, Bournemouth are open to sealing a permanent transfer, with Chelsea setting a modest €6 million release clause—significantly lower than the €80 million they paid for him in 2018. While the fee is affordable for Bournemouth, Kepa’s wages could be a hurdle.
With other clubs potentially interested, Kepa’s future isn’t fully decided, but Chelsea are finally set to part ways with their record-signing goalkeeper.
